NEW-BUILD INSPECTIONS

Investing in a new-build or custom home is a big step for many homeowners. So, why not ensure that you are getting what you pay for? The largest issues that any home may incur during the construction process is lack of quality workmanship.

With a Tru-Spec® new-build inspection, future homeowners can obtain valuable knowledge about unforeseeable problems due to construction mistakes. The speed at which new homes are built today makes it difficult for future homeowners to identify imperfections in a timely fashion. This is where a Tru-Spec® inspector, with building experience, can help root out construction flaws and minimize costly and inconvenient repairs before you close on your home.

New-build inspections are important because customers can be advised on each step of the construction process. Tru-Spec® performs many inspections for new-build and custom homes, beginning with the initial stages of construction and ending with the final walk-through prior to closing. These ongoing inspections facilitate communication and teamwork between Tru-Spec® and your contractor. If necessary, your Tru-Spec® inspector will help resolve conflicts between you and your contractor.

Our inspections are so thorough and timely that a computer-generated PDF file will be e-mailed to you within 24 hours of inspection. This process allows you to forward the report to the builder so that you can discuss construction concerns and have repairs completed. Tru-Spec® also keeps records of any construction problems and the status of repairs in our files at all times for your perusal.

All Tru-Spec® new-build inspections exceed minimum inspection standards, giving you peace of mind throughout the entire process. Tru-Spec® will guide you through your new home to access the following areas. Here is a list of some of the most common items visually inspected.

HOME INSPECTION SERVICES

There is nothing more worrisome than buying a new or pre-existing home and knowing there may be hidden problems. Why worry? Relieve your anxiety through a Tru-Spec® quality home inspection. Our inspectors probe the entire home, examining structure and operating systems, as well as aesthetic qualities, to give you a complete, overall picture. Assessing structural problems before you close will limit the number of surprises after you move in.

All Tru-Spec® home inspections consist of an unbiased, visual examination of the property by a qualified inspector, who will cover more than 400 checkpoints—from the foundation to the roof. Checkpoints include areas in the exterior, interior, substructure, and roof of the home. Your Tru-Spec® inspector also will examine the heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems of your home.

Our Tru-Spec® inspections are thorough and rank among the best in the industry, with the average inspection lasting three plus hours, depending upon age and maintenance of the home. Our inspections are unique because you can accompany the inspector during the time of inspection. By accompanying your inspector, you will gain valuable knowledge about your home and receive useful maintenance tips that will prolong the life and increase the value of your property. All of our clients benefit directly from a Tru-Spec® home inspection.

Seasonal maintenance tips are provided.

Home inspection services are also important for those homeowners who are planning to sell their home.

It is also important to note that proof of a routine termite inspection must be obtained before a bank will close on your home.

Upon completion of home inspection, a receipt will be attached and a computer-generated, PDF file will be sent to you.

Tru-Spec® offers convenient service for all of its customers. Service is available any day of the week.
