NEW BUILD INSPECTION

It is a good investment to enlist the help of a Tru-Spec® inspector when you build a home.

The inspection will give you important knowledge about potential problems that could occur due to mistakes in the construction process.  It can be difficult for the future homeowner to identify imperfections during construction.  An inspector with contract experience will help bring the flaws out of hiding.  Working with Tru-Spec® can minimize your chances of closing on a house that may require costly and inconvenient repairs in the future.

Since the construction of a home is a process, Tru-Spec® advises its clients to view the inspection of their home in the same way.  In a new build situation, Tru-Spec® performs many inspections beginning with the initial stages of construction and ending with a final walk-through just prior to closing.  The inspector generates a handwritten report that will be presented to you on site for each visit.  You can give this report to your contractor so that the repairs can be completed.  Tru-Spec® will then e-mail the list to you.  For your convenience, we will also keep a record of the problems and status of the repairs in our files.  The ongoing visits facilitate teamwork between your contractor and inspector.  If necessary, your inspector can act as a mediator during conflicts between you and your contractor.

Tru-Spec® exceeds minimum inspection standards to give you peace of mind.  During a typical inspection, Tru-Spec® will guide you through your new home to study the following items:
